Does CPS Chrome Plate Wheels or Rims?
No, we don’t chrome plate any one piece wheels or rims. We do, however, chrome plate motorcycle rims if all of the spokes are taken out.
How Long Does it Typically Take to Do a Chrome Job?
Most jobs take 16-20 weeks to complete. Longer bumpers take 20 weeks to complete.
What Kind of Plating Does CPS Do?
We triple plate all parts with copper first, nickel and finally chrome.
Where Is Brillion, Wisconsin?
Brillion is located twenty miles south of Green Bay; twenty miles east of Appleton.

Do I Get My Own Parts Back?
Yes, we will not switch or swap out your parts. We take pictures of all parts and engrave your name on the back where possible.

We began chroming in 1986. All of our craftsmen have over ten years of experience, some with over twenty years in the industry.
Is Chrome Plating Expensive?
Chroming is an art and should be treated as an investment. Cheaper places tell you they triple plate, but only put nickel and chrome on the parts. Custom Plating Specialist is very competitive with its prices and provides an excellent customer satisfaction rating. Remember, you get what you pay for, and if you choose a cheaper company, you may be looking to get those parts re-plated within a year or two. CPS does it right the first time.
How Do We Get Our Parts to Custom Plating Specialist?
Local customers can deliver their parts directly to our shop. Or, if in Wisconsin, email us and sometimes our sales guy can pick up the job when he is in your area. For out of state clients; box up your parts and ship them to us. Inside the box put a list of the parts included, and your complete contact information. You can also watch the events page. We frequently attend car shows and swap meets around the U.S. and can bring your parts back with us.

Can CPS Plate Pot Metal or Diecast Parts?
Yes. Some parts from the twenties and thirties are made of a different kind of pot metal that doesn’t weld at all, but after chroming for thirty years, we have found many ways to go about fixing these different parts. Where our competitors send parts back undone because they don’t know how or don’t want to fix them, we help you complete your project..
